Listening for what wants to be
restored
Work rooted in care for
land, water, and the inner
landscapes that shape
how we live and lead.
Restoration rarely begins with action. It begins with attention.
Across personal, organizational, and environmental contexts, this work is grounded in listening for what needs care, clarity, and recalibration—before change is designed or decisions are made.
Tonia’s work bridges environmental and engineering consulting with deeply human, presence-based practices.
Across all domains, care, clarity, and restoration guide the work—whether within a landscape, a system, or a person navigating change.
An integrated way of working
Rather than applying one-size-fits-all solutions, the focus is on discernment: understanding conditions, constraints, and signals before shaping what comes next.
The work and the way
Tonia Johnson’s work centers on restoration—of land, of systems, and of the inner landscapes that shape how people live and lead.
With more than two decades of environmental and engineering consulting experience, she is a licensed geologist who has worked across complex land and water systems throughout the United States, supporting municipalities, industry, agriculture, mining, energy clients, and legal teams in navigating regulatory pressure, contamination, redevelopment, and long-term stewardship. Her work has included assessment, investigation, remediation, and engineering support for sites under significant environmental and operational strain.
Over time, working so closely with systems under pressure sharpened her ability to read subtle signals—how stress accumulates, how constraints shape behavior, and how sustainable solutions depend on understanding conditions rather than forcing outcomes. That same lens began to extend naturally into human systems.
Alongside her technical work, Tonia has spent more than a decade supporting individuals and teams through organizational change, professional development, and personal transition. She has designed and facilitated corporate wellness and team-coaching programs, provided one-on-one coaching across career stages, and cultivated a presence-based practice that integrates intuitive and somatic approaches with deep listening and discernment.
Today, her work bridges environmental and engineering consulting with carefully held personal and group work. Across all domains, care, clarity, and restoration guide the work—whether within a landscape, a system, or a person navigating change. The orientation remains the same: meet what is present, respect natural limits, and support restoration without urgency.
Ways of working
Environmental and Engineering Consulting
Environmental and engineering consulting focused on assessment, investigation, remediation, and restoration of land and water resources.
This work is conducted through Gaia Envirosolutions, LLC and builds on more than two decades of experience supporting municipalities, industry, agriculture, mining, and energy clients, with an emphasis on clear communication, regulatory alignment, and long-term stewardship of place.
One-on-One and Group Experiences
One-on-one and group work rooted in intuitive, energetic, and presence-based practices, offered selectively and with care.
Engagements are entered into slowly and intentionally, meeting each person where they are and allowing space for trust, clarity, and meaningful change to emerge.
Writing and Speaking
Tonia writes and speaks on restoration, environmental and human systems, presence, and the subtle conditions that shape resilience—drawing from lived experience across land-based, organizational, and personal domains.
Some talks, conversations, and written work are shared publicly; others are offered in smaller, more intimate settings.
